Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive in their early years. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering the development of children through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.

The candidate should have at least a Level 3 in childcare.

Duties



Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that promotes best practices in childcare. Ensure compliance with nursery policies, procedures, and relevant legislation regarding health and safety standards. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Experience



Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or events. A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of childcare is expected. Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
