Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery room. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met in accordance with early childhood education standards. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of childcare professionals while fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Duties

Lead and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early learning programmes Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children within the nursery environment Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and daily activities Organise rota schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times Uphold compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures Support staff training and professional development initiatives Manage behaviour in a positive manner, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere

Requirements

Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent) Knowledge of nursery regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding policies Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between locations or family visits if required Passionate about early childhood development with a nurturing approach to children's learning experiences

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
