If you are looking for a new challenge or to further develop your career, then W J Matthews and Son are looking for a qualified, part qualified or experienced accountant to join the team full-time in the office in Caernarfon. We are looking for a hard-working, organized and reliable individual who can work well in a busy office.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Complete a full range of technical accountancy work including the preparation of accounts on behalf of limited companies, partnerships and sole traders. Preparing and completing tax returns on behalf of corporations and individuals. Assisting with auditing work as required. Completing quarterly VAT on behalf of clients and submitting them to HMRC online. General tasks and additional duties as required, such as supporting the rollout of new MTD requirements for Income Tax Self Assessment and other relevant compliance activities.

Skills:

Work well alone, with other team members and clients to provide a high level of service. Experience of using accounting software e.g. Sage, QuickBooks and Xero, together with MS Office and Excel.
