Job Description

We are a renewables company specialising in Air Source Heat Pump, Solar PV & Battery Storage, Electrical, Mechanical and Domestic Heating Systems. We have contracts all over the Cambs, Norfolk, Suffolk and North Essex areas.

We are looking for a Qualified Plumber with an interest and desire to progress in the Renewable Energy market. Our Air Source Heat Pump works are time critical as the homeowners move for the duration of the work so being able to keep to schedule and deadlines is a MUST

We have our own employed dedicated in-house electrical department to assist the install teams so we require a Qualified Plumber to work with a Team Leader assisting with the mechanical aspect of the Air Source Heat Pump installations, however sometimes engineers who have an understanding of wiring heating systems would be an advantage

The ideal candidate(s) will have:

NVQ Level 2/3

An experience in working with wet central heating systems

Good verbal and written skills

Knowledgeable and professional interaction with customers

Problem solving and being able to manage time is critical

Clean and tidy in both workspace and appearance

Additional qualifications desired but not essential are:

G3 Unvented certification

Gas Safe

Level 3 ASHP certified installer

OFTEC

Low Temp Heating & Hot Water Design Level 3

F-Gas

Part P

Key Skills for the Role:

Able to drain down and refill heating and domestic systems

Competent in all mechanical aspects of heating systems ie able to make up, hang and pipe radiators, pipe cylinders, pipe boilers/Air Source Heat Pumps (connect primaries)

Competent in minor first fix pipework

Competent in Power Flushing

Able to read Drawings and implement Verbal Instruction

Able to manage time efficiently to ensure timescales are adhered to

Good understanding of materials needed for installations and able to foresee/manage shortages in van stock in a timely manner

We are a very busy company with ongoing development and career progression available. For the right candidate(s) progression to Commissioning, Maintenance, Supervisory roles very realistic. Our base salary is by no means the extent of your earning capabilities.
