Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Qualified Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold all necessary industry qualifications and certifications, possess strong technical knowledge, and be proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various roofing systems. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, ensuring all roofing tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain pitched, flat, and specialist roofing systems in residential and commercial settings.

Conduct inspections of roofs to identify defects, leaks, or structural concerns, ensuring compliance with building regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Use hand tools, power tools, and specialist roofing equipment effectively.

Cut, shape, and fit roofing materials such as tiles, slates, felt, lead, and membranes.

Apply weatherproofing and insulation materials where required.

Work at height safely, following all fall protection and site safety requirements.

Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and scaffolders, to complete projects on time.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions.

Adhere to all site health and safety regulations at all times.

Essential Qualifications & Certifications

Valid CSCS Card

NVQ Level 2 or above in Roofing Occupations (or equivalent qualification)

Asbestos Awareness Training

COSHH Training

Face Fit Certificate for respiratory protective equipment

Full driving licence and a car is a must.

Experience

Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar qualified roofing role is essential.

Strong understanding of roofing materials, installation techniques, and fault diagnosis.

Familiarity with safe work-at-height practices and use of access equipment.

Basic maths skills for measuring, cutting, and calculating material requirements accurately.

Ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting and transporting heavy materials.
