We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Lead. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for working with children. As a Room Lead, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering the development of children in our care. You should have good knowledge and practise of developing the curriculum intent for ages 2-5.
Duties
Have safeguarding of all children at the forefront of everything you do.
Supervise and support staff during the sessions to ensure high-quality childcare services are provided.
Manage daily activities and schedules, ensuring that all children receive appropriate attention and care.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Implement early childhood education programmes that promote learning through play and exploration.
Drive initiatives to maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children.
Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for child development and behaviour management.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the nursery.
Have a good understanding of how to be self-reflective and develop reflective practise within the larger team of staff.
Skills
Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively.

Experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential minimum Level 3, with 3 years experience.
Effective, clear communicator, with strong communication skills in English to interact with staff, parents, and children effectively.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the overall quality of care provided in the nursery.
A nurturing attitude towards children combined with the ability to manage diverse situations calmly.
A good understanding of how to support good practices around Inclusion for specifically, SEN, EAL and EYPP children in your room and in the whole setting.
Good CPD that shows a continuous want to develop your own skillset as well as the staff in your room.
