Role and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum adapted to meet individual needs Develop and implement

individual education plans (IEPs)

in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff Manage classroom behaviour positively and proactively, following the school s behaviour policy Work closely with Teaching Assistants and external professionals Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers Contribute to the wider school community and participate in training and development

Requirements

Must hold

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Proven experience teaching in a

secondary setting

Experience working within an SEN environment, particularly with ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs A strong understanding of differentiation, sensory needs, and emotional regulation strategies Excellent communication, resilience, and behaviour management skills Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
