Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection Team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring their safety and well-being in accordance with statutory regulations and best practices.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure the safety and progress of children.
Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including schools, health services, and law enforcement.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
Strong assessment and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks.
