Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Assessment Team in Birmingham. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families. As a member of our dynamic team, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and collaborate with various stakeholders to provide high-quality support and services.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of children and families in need of support.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health care providers, educators, and law enforcement.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national guidelines.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, MA Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and assessment work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to best practice standards.
