Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Safeguarding team in Gateshead. This pivotal role will involve working with vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while promoting positive outcomes in their lives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to provide the best support possible.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Developing and implementing tailored safeguarding plans to protect vulnerable individuals.
Working collaboratively with other agencies, including schools, healthcare providers, and law enforcement, to ensure comprehensive support.
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of cases and interventions.
Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
