We are seeking a passionate and experienced

Qualified Teacher

to join our established team at Growing Young Minds. This is a unique opportunity to combine classroom teaching with site leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for an experienced teacher who is ready to take on a broader role while reducing time spent in the classroom.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with small groups of children, delivering engaging and customised lessons that inspire a love of learning. Alongside this, as

Site Lead

, you will play a key role in supporting the founder, coordinating with teachers and parents, and ensuring high standards across teaching and learning.

This role is part-time, with teaching and leadership responsibilities. We would require you to be able to teach

two evenings per week (4-7pm)

plus some additional activities that can be managed flexibly during the day or during other evening at site depending on business needs and your own timetable.

Responsibilities and Skills

Teaching



Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons tailored to the needs of each group of children Utilise a variety of resources and learning styles to create engaging and enjoyable learning experiences Monitor and document each child's progress, ensuring they are meeting curriculum expectations Foster positive relationships with students and their families, providing support and guidance as needed Demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment Identify and address barriers to learning, working collaboratively with colleagues and families to provide support Attend parent meetings twice a year to discuss student progress and address any concerns

Site Lead



Support the founder in overseeing the smooth running of the site Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure high-quality communication and collaboration Organise and lead parent meetings using current systems and processes Monitor and support teaching and learning, working alongside the founder to maintain and raise standards Provide on-the-ground leadership and guidance for the teaching team during lessons Contribute to the ongoing development of the business by offering insights and feedback from the site

Qualifications and Experience



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential Bachelor's degree (preferred) Experience of teaching Lower and Upper KS2 At least 3 year experience teaching in the UK school system Experience in teaching the 11+ and Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning (preferred but not essential) Experience in managing a team or leading in school (preferred but not essential) Proficiency in ICT software such as Google Drive and Microsoft Satisfactory DBS check and references

Salary



The teaching hours are 30 an hour. The site lead is a monthly additional payment with information on application.

Location and Schedule



This is a part time permanent position based at our Earlsfield site. The current times are Tuesday 4- 7pm and then one other day during the week either Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. Then additional hours and pay for the on site lead role.

The position is with immediate effect after some handover period and necessary checks.
