About Little Loco's:
Little Locos Day Nursery is a vibrant, child-centered setting dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5years. We pride ourselves on fostering a warm, nurturing, homely, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore their potential.

We are seeking an experienced, and enthusiastic Early Years qualified Teacher to teach our 3-to-5-year old's.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering learning experiences:

This involves designing and implementing a broad and balanced curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, incorporating activities that promote language, literacy, numeracy, physical development, and social-emotional skills.

Creating a stimulating and inclusive environment:

Teachers set up the learning space to encourage exploration, curiosity, and independent learning, ensuring it is accessible and supportive for all children.

Assessing and monitoring children's progress:

Through observation and ongoing assessment, teachers track each child's development, identify areas of strength and need, and provide feedback to parents.

Collaborating with parents and professionals:

Early years teachers work closely with parents, sharing information, providing guidance, and involving them in their child's learning journey. They also collaborate with other staff members, such as teaching assistants and nursery nurses, to provide a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Ensuring child safety and well-being:

This includes maintaining a safe environment, following safeguarding procedures, and addressing any concerns about a child's health or well-being.

Keeping up-to-date with best practices:

Early years teachers participate in professional development opportunities and stay informed about changes in the curriculum and best practices in early childhood education.

Developing visual aids and teaching resources:

Teachers create and adapt materials to support learning activities and enhance the learning environment.

Promoting positive behaviour and social skills:

They encourage positive interactions, help children develop social skills, and manage behaviour effectively.
Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree (or equivalent). A postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) or other recognised teaching qualification. To meet the standards for qualified teacher status.
