W. Speirs & Sons Ltd is one of the longest standing Ductwork and Ventilation Companies in Scotland. We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Ductwork fitter to join our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of equipment, primarily within the HVAC and construction sectors. This role offers an opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and leadership qualities to contribute to high-quality projects and ensure client satisfaction. The position involves working on-site, often requiring physical dexterity and technical expertise to deliver efficient installation services.
Duties
Install and assemble equipment according to schematics and technical specifications
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on installed systems
Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and operation, applying mechanical knowledge to resolve problems effectively
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals to ensure accurate installation procedures
Lead small teams during installation projects, providing guidance and ensuring safety standards are maintained
Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate installation schedules and site preparations
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and modifications
Experience
Proven experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, or repair roles within the construction or HVAC industries
Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise or guide team members effectively
Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety protocols
Practical understanding of maintenance procedures for various types of machinery and systems
Candidates should be organised, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship.

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
