Essential Requirements:

Anchor Care and Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate
Qualified Youth Development Support Workers
to join our residential care teams. You will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people aged
6-18
who are unable to live with their families due to early childhood trauma, neglect, and other complex needs.
Our young people may present with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties, which can result in challenging behaviour. We are committed to providing a
safe, therapeutic, and nurturing home environment
where children feel happy, healthy, safe, and loved.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
A minimum of
12 months' experience
working with children who have experienced trauma, within a similar setting
A
Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Child Care
A strong understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and young people
Experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm, patient, and positive manner
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
The ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of practice
A
full UK driving licence
and access to a vehicle (our homes are not accessible via public transport)
Shift Patterns & Working Hours
Our rota system is designed to support a healthy work-life balance:
Week 1 (Long Week):
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2 (Short Week):
Wednesday, Thursday
Shift times:
08:00 - 21:00
Average working week:
42 hours
Additional Pay
