We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality dental services. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, organisational skills, and effective communication to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice. Trainees who are already on a registered course will also be considered for the role. Salary will be discussed with candidates.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with practice protocols.
Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time for both patients and staff.
Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Dental Nursing is preferred but not essential for candidates with relevant experience and already enrolled on a course.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
Proven ability to provide high-quality patient care with a compassionate approach.
Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
