The Quality & Compliance Officer plays a critical role in maintaining and improving quality and compliance standards across the organisation, ensuring that all relevant regulations and standards are met. The Quality & Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all applicable policies and standards are followed within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing ISO, BRC & FSC-based management systems:
The Quality and Compliance Officer will assist in growing and maintaining the BRCGS, ISO and FSC based management system. Ensure the organisation remains compliant with BRC Global Standards. Lead the preparation and management of BRCGS audits, ensuring that processes, procedures, and documentation align with the required standards.
BRCGS HARA management:
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of HARA plans, including conducting regular HARA (Hazard Analysis Risk Assessments) to assess potential hazards and risks in the production process.
Non-Conformance management:
Manage the identification, reporting, and resolution of non-conformances (NC's). Lead the development and implementation of corrective actions (CAPAs) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Working with department heads to establish trends, root causes and develop robust corrective and preventive actions.
Audit Coordination:
Coordinate and support internal and external audits for BRCGS, ISO & FSC. Prepare relevant documentation, action plans, and reports to ensure successful audit outcomes.
Training & Support:
Provide training to staff on quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure that team members are aware of the latest policies, procedures, and working protocols to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Managing data collation, recording, and reporting:
Responsible for managing the collection, recording, and reporting of monthly data related to quality and compliance.
Document management:
To ensure that all relevant documentation is managed and maintained according to document control procedures.
Maintaining communication with management:
To maintain robust and open communication with peers, senior management, and group management to highlight gaps, best practices, and implement solutions as needed.
Person Specification:
Experience in managing BRCGS, FSC, & ISO Certifications .
Maintaining Quality/Compliance Management systems (QMS) (preferred).
EPR software (preferred).
Conducting internal audits and liaising with external auditor.
A minimum of 5 years of compliance process administration (preferred).
Must be competent in the use of MS Office particularly SharePoint, Excel, Word, and email.
Full current driving license.
