(Learning Disability / Complex Children's Homes)



Are you a Senior Manager or an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager with a proven track record in improving quality standards? Are you interested in transitioning into a quality-focused role?

The Belsteads Group is seeking a highly motivated Quality and Development Manager to oversee a campus of learning disability children's homes in Essex. This is an exciting and high-profile opportunity within a well-established and reputable provider known for delivering high standard of care.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary of 55,000 per annum, plus a bonus scheme.

The ideal candidate will have:



Senior management experience (Area, Operations, Regional, Quality) or multi-site Registered Manager experience in children's homes with extensive Ofsted knowledge.

A proven track record of improving Ofsted ratings and implementing effective quality assurance measures

The ability to work collaboratively with Senior Managers, Responsible Individuals, and Registered Managers

The Belsteads Group - Quality and Development Manager



The Quality and Development Manager at The Belsteads Group is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and continuous improvement across our children's residential homes.. This role is pivotal in driving quality assurance, regulatory compliance, staff development, and best practices in line with Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes Regulations. The post-holder will collaborate closely with Registered Managers, senior leadership, and external agencies to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for the children and young people in our care.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:



Ensure all Belsteads Group homes operate in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards. Conduct regular audits, mock inspections, and feedback evaluations to monitor service quality and identify areas for improvement. Lead and support homes in preparing for Ofsted inspections, ensuring full readiness and compliance. Oversee risk management processes and safeguarding protocols to maintain a proactive approach to child protection.

Service Development & Improvement:



Implement strategies to enhance service provision, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Develop and review policies, procedures, and care practices to align with best practices and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with Registered Managers to establish and achieve service improvement objectives. Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high-quality care across all homes.

Staff Training & Development:



Identify training needs across The Belsteads Group and coordinate professional development programs for staff. Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to Registered Managers and staff teams to enhance service delivery. Ensure all staff receive appropriate safeguarding and specialist training relevant to the needs of children in care.

Leadership & Collaboration:



Contribute to strategic planning and service expansion to ensure The Belsteads Group continues to meet the evolving needs of children in care.

Key Attributes & Experience:



Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Highly analytical, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and service improvement. Experienced in conducting audits and implementing quality improvement plans. Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and regulatory requirements within children's residential care.
