The Role:

Responsible for supporting the clinic QM in the development, maintenance and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) at the clinic (& its satellites) and continual improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the service provided in accordance with the conditions of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA). These conditions must also comply with the guidance on good practice as set out in the HFEA\'s Code of Practice, CQC guidance and all relevant clinical and laboratory directives.

The role includes supporting the clinic QM in the management of all incidents, non-conformances and complaints, patient satisfaction reviews, internal and external auditing, monitoring, evaluation and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the QM in establishing and managing quality, risk and governance strategies within the clinic and its satellites
  • Helping to maintain the HFEA licence, ISO certification and CQC registration
  • Supporting the clinic QM in developing and monitoring the quality policy, quality objectives and quality indicators
  • Supporting the QM in internal and external auditing, patient satisfaction and complaints management
  • Supporting the QM in the management of non-conformities/incidents, corrective and preventative actions
  • Supporting the implementation of the ISO 9001 and ISO 15189 standards
  • Supporting training, communication, monitoring and motivating all staff to support the QMS
  • Supporting the QM in preparation of internal and external reports

Job requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree or equivalent and/or relevant experience
  • Recognised quality qualification and/or relevant experience
  • Experience of Quality Management Systems and Risk Management including incident investigation
  • Advanced numeracy & analytical skills, with the ability to undertake data analysis
  • Advanced computer literacy including use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable:
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001 / 15189, HFEA and CQC
  • Quality Management Audit training
  • Healthcare Experience
  • Experience of managing complaints
  • Experience of delivering training in group presentations and to individuals
  • Experience of CCG contracting and / or reporting
