Overview

Don & Low are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to support in the Technical Textiles Division based on a 2-shift pattern.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining product quality by means of testing raw materials and finished goods

This position would be best suited to individuals who can demonstrate knowledge of products, processes and the manufacturing equipment and who can work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

To carry out required testing on materials manufactured within Don & Low Ltd as per the D & L Fabric Test Specification Record data for analysis using computer systems Highlight failures of materials to management to ensure substandard materials are not sold to customers Provide daily updates of quality results on suspect materials Work in conjunction with the Development Department in preparing and collating information on trial products Supply input to Development Department when drawing up new product specification Carry out daily quality audits of products during their production run Compile reports and graphs as required by management Participate in production activities as required

Requirements

Educated to a good standard in numeracy and literacy Significant work experience ideally in a manufacturing process Self-motivated and the ability to work unsupervised Good planning and organisational skills Advance knowledge of the products, materials, processes and test methods Problem solving abilities
