This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance professional looking join an established, and growing Company. Tiger Tim Products Ltd. is the global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Firelighters and BBQ products.
Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be a strong leader and influencer with the ability to liaise with representatives across all site functions, to ensure site wide compliance and day-to-day quality objectives and targets are met, supported, and reported on.
You will deputise for the Quality Assurance Manager in their absence to ensure business continuity and will work closely with an experienced team of SHEQ and QA Technicians to ensure the Quality Management System is operating correctly whilst supporting and driving continual improvement to meet business requirements.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 17:00 - with flexibility to meet business demand.
Key Accountabilities:
Participate in internal and external audits, plus accident and incident investigations where required.
Support the HSE function on site by performing Safety Tours and advising on potential risk.
Manage internal Non-conformances, Holds, Returns, Customer and Supplier complaints.
Investigating and driving root cause through to corrective and preventative action.
Manage trials, liaising with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate recording or data
Support product launches and NPD/R&D as required.
Ensure the Site Specification system in conjunction with the QA Technician is managed and accurate at all times, developing where required.
Manage the Supplier Assurance Program ensuring the Raw Material database and supplier information is in place and maintained.
Support the Warehouse and logistics team to ensure quality issues relating to Goods in and Despatch are managed correctly.
Manage the Mettler weigh system and ensure annual calibrations of scales and lab equipment are completed.
Support and generate reports/briefings to include the interpretation and presentation of laboratory and analytical data generated by the SHEQ Technicians.
Be part of the HACCP team driving and leading where applicable.
Take ownership of Laboratory and Quality procedures, supporting SHEQ Technicians and actively supporting all departments to maintain compliance to standards.
Complete sample requests with support internally and organise shipping to include Dangerous Goods requirements.
Provide ongoing advice, training, support and coaching across site functions.
Actively perform regular quality and site briefings and toolbox talks.
Support and cover for SHEQ Technicians as applicable and be confident in laboratory processes and testing.
The Person:
You will possess problem solving capabilities, be an excellent communicator, and have an eye for detail.
Can generate risk assessments and be confident in report writing.
You will be target driven, and able to lead and motivate others, and believe you can make a difference.
Experience working in a testing laboratory would be advantageous.
Possess a HACCP qualification - Ideally at level 3
Be COSHH trained or have awareness on chemical handling.
Be trained in Internal auditing.
Hold Dangerous goods training - IATA, ADR preferred but training can and will be given.
Be computer literate in MS Office and confident in learning and using alternatives systems including SAGE.
Retailer Quality/technical experience.
Science based background advantageous.
