About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Facilitator to join Imperial College London's Research Governance and Integrity team (RGIT). You will be based primarily at White City Campus.





You will report directly to the Research Governance and Quality Assurance Manager, and work with them to provide oversight for RGIT sponsored studies, Quality Assurance oversight or Trust and College systems, processes and vendors and to help/lead with the Research Governance and Quality Assurance manager to put place the Quality Assurance provision for the RGIT, across the College and Trust and including non-NHS and non-healthcare related studies


What you would be doing


---------------------------


With the support of the Senior RGIT Team, you will lead on development, implementation and enforcement of the audit programme for research studies and systems across the College and Trust, for RGIT sponsored studies and systems in use, including RGIT internal audits for MHRA compliance. Key responsibilities will include:




To provide audit training to the RGIT



To contribute to the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System e.g. ensuring SOPs are appropriately managed.



To provide training to researchers, Chief Investigators, Principal Investigators and other internal parties across the College and Trust on Quality Assurance responsibilities, pharmacovigilance and GCP as required.



To assist with the development of audit tools and the recording of accurate Quality Assurance information.



To work across teams in the RGIT, including the Clinical Trials Team to provide appropriate Quality Assurance oversight.



Conduct audits of clinical research, write audit reports and follow these up to resolution, including review of corrective actions plans (CAPAs) and to lead on audits with appropriate training.

What we are looking for

Those wishing to apply will have a degree in the area of health care, biological science or a related discipline and will have experience of clinical trials/research in an NHS Trust and/or Higher Education Institute environment, an in-depth understanding of clinical research regulations, quality assurance, research governance and the principles of Good Clinical Practice. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and be highly organised.





The role is in a dedicated team, within a challenging and rewarding environment so candidates must have good time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic.
