Quality Assurance Lead

Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced QA Lead to join our team and champion the quality of our software products. You will be responsible for leading our testing efforts, from strategy and planning to execution and reporting.

In this role, you will work closely with our software engineers to ensure our flagship products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You will be the key driver for building and maintaining our testing frameworks, mentoring team members, and ensuring that every release is stable and bug-free.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Test Strategy & Planning:

Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for all software development projects.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor the QA team (or function), managing testing schedules, assigning tasks, and promoting a culture of quality.

Hands-On Testing:

Actively participate in all phases of testing, including manual and automated testing, functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Automation:

Drive the enhancement and maintenance of our automated testing frameworks, identifying new opportunities for automation to increase efficiency.

Bug Management:

Oversee the entire defect lifecycle, from identification and documentation in our bug-tracking system to verification and closure.

Collaboration:

Work closely with developers, product managers, and client support teams to understand requirements, replicate issues, and ensure timely resolutions.

Process Improvement:

Continuously analyze and improve the quality assurance process, tools, and methodologies.

Reporting:

Define, track, and report on key quality metrics to stakeholders, providing clear visibility into product quality and testing progress.
What We're Looking For (Required Experience)

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading QA efforts. Strong expertise in developing test plans, test cases, and test strategies. Extensive experience with both manual testing techniques and automated testing frameworks. Proven experience with test management software (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and bug-tracking systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Our Core Technical Stack (Must-Have Skills)

Test Automation:

Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks. Experience with Python-based frameworks (like Pytest, Behave, or Selenium with Python) is highly preferred.

Databases:

High proficiency in SQL for data validation. Must be able to write complex queries to test data integrity in MS SQL Server and MySQL.

API Testing:

Proven experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or automation libraries.

BI & Report Testing:

Experience in validating data and reports generated from BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects).

Version Control:

Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Bonus Points (Desired Skills)

Experience testing applications built with Python frameworks (e.g., Django, PYQT5). Knowledge of performance and load testing methodologies and tools. Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing cloud-based applications. Experience working in a CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) environment.

Pay: 45,500.00-52,988.12 per year
