The quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the correct application of the institution's policies, regulations and procedures as defined by HEI and Office for Students standards and requirements. He/she will work closely with the Head of Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with institutional and sector regulatory frameworks. In addition, they will be responsible for the regulation of associated risks from non-compliance, manage the delivery of the Quality Assurance Department's procedures and regulations, and provide evidence to mitigate against institutional risk. The postholder will be required to demonstrate exceptional leadership and advice the Head of Quality Assurance on compliance of the programmes and modules offered by the institution in compliance with the requirements of the degree awarding body.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor academic compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, taking corrective actions where necessary to address non-compliance.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess the effectiveness of quality assurance processes and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, findings, and outcomes, and prepare reports for the Head of Quality Assurance, senior management, and stakeholders as needed.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external institutions, including the degree-awarding body, students, HEIs, and other stakeholders, to support the objectives of the SSS.
Identify and enhance the Quality Assurance capabilities of QA representatives across various campuses to ensure smooth service delivery.
Monitor and manage QA reports submitted by campus QA representatives through MS Teams.
Ensure compliance with UKHE Partners' terms and conditions, and monitor performance against agreed benchmarks.
Evaluate risks related to partnerships, collaborations, and quality assurance activities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
Organise and conduct QA-related training sessions for staff across SSS campuses, attend meetings, participate in staff capacity building, and support the preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual review reports.
Provide expert QA advice to the Head of Quality Assurance to ensure alignment of institutional activities with the degree-awarding body's standards, supporting its quality assurance strategies and initiatives.
Collaborate with the Registrar and Associate Deans of Teaching and Learning, Student Support and Experience, and other relevant departments to manage the QA department's preparation, delivery, and follow-up activities related to Quarterly Review reports, Programme Annual Reports,
Collaborative Partnerships Annual Reports, and the Programme Enhancement Grid.
Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Quality Assurance for Collaborative Partnerships.
Person Specifications
Masters' degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
Relevant Professional certificate in quality management, including Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001, or ASQ Certified Quality Manager can be an added advantage.
Relevant certificates in data analysis, such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate may be an added advantage
8 - 9 years of experience of monitoring, managing and enhancing quality standards, procedures, frameworks, regulations, and best practices in higher education
Experience of dealing with partnerships or collaborations with relevant HEI(s) to achieve institutional objectives and drive innovation can be an added advantage
Two years of experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques, including statistical analysis.
Membership of a quality assurance body is an added advantage
Personal/Role based benefits
Salary is 50,000 - 60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays
Up to 5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs after successful probationary period
3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
Basic hours are 40 Hours weekly
Field visits to the respective SSS campuses are periodically required
