Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Wafer Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
You will be responsible not only for systems and compliance but also for encouraging, evolving and instilling a First Time Right behaviour and introduce, maintain and embed Best Practices.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product compliance.
Conduct Induction Programme for new employees
Train staff on quality assurance practices and promote a culture of quality within the organization
SALSA/ BRC record maintenance and ensuring integrity of document to actual production conditions and matching the latest Legal requirements
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement including HAACP and Risk Assessments
Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Supporting new product and process developments with technical expertise
Managing traceability, allergen compliance and raw material quality
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions on internal non conformances
Preparing for external third-party audits - SALSA/BRC
Conducting regular Product Audits to check the consistency of product quality and labelling accuracy
Creating specification sheets for product, PIFs, labels for front of packs and completion of Supplier Approval Questionnaires from Customers.
Interacting, investigating and resolving quality complaints from customers
Ensuring that all product testing is up to date and reflects the latest required legislation standards

Requirements
Essential Criteria
Degree in Food Technology or a formal qualification in a technical food related discipline
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role in FMCG
Excellent working knowledge and experience of HAACP and Internal Auditing
Practical knowledge of Manufacturing Procedures, Product Specifications, Product assessment and Factory Hygiene
Thorough knowledge of UK, NI and EU legislation for Product Labelling, Prohibited substances, Food Safety legislation, Allergens and GMP
Working knowledge of Commodity Codes and Meursing Codes
Knowledge of filling PIF forms, uploading and updating product specs to customer portals
SALSA/BRC/ISO or equivalent training or experience
Adept at using MS Office Suite - Microsoft Word and Excel packages
Valid Driving license
Desirable Criteria
Food Safety Level 4 qualification
SAGE /PowerBI experience/knowledge
COSH and Health and Safety
Post Graduate degree in FMCG sector
Conducted or participated in SALSA/BRC/ISO audits in an FMCG environment
