Main purpose of the role:

To ensure we produce safe, legal and high-quality products through effective leadership of the Quality Assurance Team.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and guidance to the Quality Assurance Team ensuring that products are safe, legal and of the required quality. Determining and communicating in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met. Supporting the QC team on raw material goods in processes. Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with the relevant manufacturing policies, processes and procedures. Working with production, engineering and hygiene teams to ensure the highest standards to food safety, quality and legality are maintained. Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality Recording, analysing and distributing information relevant to foods safety, legality and quality.

Job requirements:

Skills & Experience required to do this role...

Dynamic approach with a broad technical knowledge and a level of experience gained from working in the fresh produce or fresh / chilled industry. Strong communication, organization, planning and problem-solving skills. A tenacious nature to ensure that your area of the business adheres to QA systems and procedures. Experience of working and achieving results cross-functionally in a continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications:

A detailed knowledge and experience of HACCP, auditing, BRC etc
