The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Quality Assurance Manager

to lead our quality assurance efforts and manage our QC laboratory team and processes. Responsible for the ISO9001 QMS, this is a pivotal role within the company, ensuring that our products consistently meet internal and customer-specific standards, and that our quality management systems evolve to meet future challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the Quality Assurance function, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements. Manage and develop the QC laboratory team and oversee the testing, analysis, and approval of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all quality-related processes. Act as the primary quality contact for key customers, including handling audits, complaints, and technical support queries. Maintain, review, and develop quality documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Analyse data and produce reports to identify trends, root cause analysis and propose corrective actions through to implementation. Collaborate with Production, Technical, Customer Service and Sales teams to maintain high product standards and effective problem resolution. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment (experience with coated or paper-based products is highly desirable but not essential). Strong understanding and management of ISO 9001. Hands-on experience managing a small team in a QC laboratory. Excellent leadership and team development skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Strong knowledge of Root cause analysis (RCA) techniques help identify the underlying reasons for problems, allowing for more effective solutions. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions based on findings. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences. A relevant scientific degree or certification in Quality Assurance is advantageous but not mandatory.
