We're looking for a proven Quality Auditor with food experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that the food manufacturing process complies with all safety and quality specifications and ensuring the site complies with BRCGS Storage & Distribution standards.
This means you will be part of a new team monitoring everything from incoming raw ingredients through to finished packed products and building a quality management system for BRCGS standards.

What you will do at MuscleFood
You will ensure all daily quality controls and audit functions are completed on site whilst adhering to customer and food standards. You will have excellent communication and leaderships skills. As a 'people person' you will manage, develop and lead and coach your team. This is an opportunity to really make a difference, drive change and continuous improvement on site.
Working as part of a team within the department, you will ensure food safety, quality and legislative compliance are adhered to whilst striving to improve and refine systems to allow for better control and consistency information and process.
You will also lead the site technical systems maintaining a comprehensive food safety and quality manual of policy, procedure, data capture and work instruction to ensure the production of safe, quality and legal products and compliance to BRCGS Storage & Distribution Standards.
Key Tasks
Develop Quality Systems in line with QMS, BRCGS and HACCP site audits, GMP, WMS systems and traceability.
Lead and develop the Quality complaint investigations and respond to customers as required.
Review and develop all BRCGS, and customer standards to identify, establish and develop departmental and customer KPIs.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, maximising profit and efficiencies
Maintain quality checks, making recommendations where necessary.
Staff QMS training & managing site hygiene.
Requirements
Previous QA experience with chilled or FMCG is essential.
Previous BRCGS setup and maintaining is essential (Food or Storage & Distribution standards)
Ideally have experience in fresh and frozen perishable products such as meat, fish, veg, pizza and ready meals.
A clear understanding of food product quality auditing.
Confident with Microsoft, in particular Excel and word.
QA Management experience from a busy food manufacturing environment.
Degree in Food Science or relevant subject is desirable.
Focused on continuous improvement, efficiencies and LEAN processes, 'results' orientated.
Experience in quality assurance or HACCP or other quality management techniques.
Strong communicator.
Leadership skills, keen to develop, educate and drive change from within.
Use problem solving techniques to aid the site team in improving quality performance.
Understand the application of food regulations, HACCP, Allergen management and other food safety requirements on site.
Working Hours & Location:
Monday to Friday based at our West Brom Distribution Hub.
Salary
30k to 35k depending on experience.
