The Role



The

Quality Assurance Officer

will be responsible for supporting the Quality Department in maintaining the QMS, maintaining compliance to international and national standards, the effective implementation of the External/Internal audit programme and be an active participant in strengthening and developing the associations' policies, procedures and processes.

They will also support our other functions and assist in coordinating projects with internal and external stakeholders. Main responsibilities

Provide clear and accurate information and support our QA strategies and initiatives.

Promote quality and performance improvement within IRATA.

Assist with and maintain the internal audit programme.

Perform quality review of audit reports and communicate to auditing team

Perform quality review of internal audit reports and where amendments are required communicate these effectively to Auditors.

Identify and immediately report to management significant findings which could adversely affect risk to IRATA. Resolve audit related queries.

Where appropriate investigate non-conformities and implement effective corrective actions.

Ensure conformance with applicable national and international standards e.g. ISO 17024.

Provide internal audit reports with recommendations for management, and follow-up of improvement actions.

Collate and perform statistical analysis of data and metrics within Excel, and utilise trend analysis to drive improvement.

Liaise with IRATA teams to gather data and provide feedback and analytics to management, manage any audit related training.

Prepare metrics and presentation materials for management. conduct trend analysis, and use audit outcomes to drive improvement.

Complete impartiality risk assessments and reports.

Maintain quality related records, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date.

Maintain the document control process, including quality review, formatting, and processing.

Draft and revise documents and procedures as required.

Process mapping by methodical approach.

Deliver quality related training as required.

Process and review of CAPAs, to ensure adequate corrective and preventative actions are documented, implemented, and closed in a timely manner.

Assist with, and coordinate projects with internal and external stakeholders, to meet strict timelines and performance objectives.

Reasonable ad hoc office duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.

The post holder will have ;

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar quality assurance role.

Knowledge and experience of audit methodologies and techniques to include:

audit planning; audit scheduling; allocating resources in accordance with skills and schedules; audit report writing; identification and classification of audit outcomes.
Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and QMS software.

Experience of continuous improvement methodology.

Experience in collating, analysing and presenting data and metrics.

Experience in process mapping.

Good numeracy and statistical analysis skills.

Experience in CAPAs.

Can work autonomously and as part of a team.

Ability to prioritise workload, exercise good time-management and the ability to work to deadlines, and excellent organisational skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders.

Experience in providing training to personnel.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Proficient in verbal and written English.

Experience in project management.

Familiarity with risk assessments.

Experience of working with external quality assurance agencies, professional bodies and/or collaborative partners.

Excellent IT skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Project, email, intermet, video conferencing and virtual learning environments.

Experience of ISO 17024 & ISO 17021 (advantageous but not essential)

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or equivalent professional or vocational qualification.

Hold a recognised professional Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (advantageous).

This is an office based, full-time position working from IRATA's head offices in Ashford, UK. The core working hours are 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.



Upon successful completion of a three month probationary period the successful applicant will receive;
