Sachet Factory is a fast-growing start-up specialising in manufacturing premium stick pack products for some of the biggest health and wellness brands in the UK. We are moving into a brand-new, state of the art production facility in June 2025 to meet the growing demand for our products.
As we scale our operations, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented
Quality Control Officer
to help us build and maintain strong quality systems. This role is ideal for someone with some experience in food manufacturing, looking to take the next step in their career and gain broader exposure to quality management within a fast-paced start-up environment.
About the Role
You'll play an active role in our quality team, carrying out day-to-day checks while also assisting in developing our HACCP plans, risk assessments, supplier approvals, and SOPs. This is a great opportunity to join a business at the very start of its journey, where you can make a real impact and grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out in-process and final product quality checks (appearance, weight, seal integrity, etc.)
Sample and inspect raw materials and packaging upon arrival
Maintain accurate quality records, logs, and batch documentation
Identify, record, and escalate any non-conformances or deviations
Ensure production staff adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Assist with internal audits and support external inspections (e.g., BRCGS, ISO)
Contribute to drafting and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Support internal audits and prepare for external inspections (e.g., BRCGS, ISO)
Work collaboratively with the Production Manager and team leaders to uphold product quality
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a quality control or assurance role within food, supplements, or related manufacturing
Familiarity with BRCGS requirements and standards (essential*) Understanding of GMP and food safety practices
High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Proactive attitude with the ability to prioritise and take initiative in a small team
Strong communication skills with confidence to challenge when necessary
Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, email systems)
