Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a
Quality Assurer (QA)
position. Your main duties are to protect the safety of Cranswick products through food safety checks at all stages of the production process. This is done through sampling, conducting inspections, testing, completing audits, and coaching colleagues in effective Food Safety.
Administration duties include (but not limited to):
To Protect the safety of Cranswick products through food safety checks at all stages of the process, through sampling, inspection, and testing.
Report any non-conformances either from production, and help to support the team to find a resolution so it doesn't occur again.
Monitor the quality system compliance by conducting regular audits.
Assist in training and coaching in regard to CCPs and other related processes.
Check production paperwork relating to manufacture, curing, processing, cooking, cooling, storage, slicing, packing and despatch.
Collect samples of products for micro compliance and testing.
Carry out testing for allergens and speciation when required.
Ensure that calibration of equipment is carried out in accordance with the schedules provided.
Ensure that the swabbing plan/schedule is achieved.
Complete locker audits and bag checks to ensure allergen compliance is being adhered to.
Assist in Pest control for the site through awareness and reporting of issues/potential issues found.
Ensure glass registers are carried out to schedule and up to date each month with issues raised to the supervisor to capture and progress.
Complete GMP's across site weekly. If issues are identified, they must be escalated in a timely manner.
To support the reporting of any Foreign Bodies either from intake, work in progress or finished product.
Maintain the reporting system to enable trending and follow up foreign bodies to a suitable conclusion
Requirements, experience, and person specification:
Excellent administrative skills with great attention to detail.
Qualification in food related subject would be advantageous.
Experience working as a QA or similar would be advantageous.
Knowledge of food legislation, audit, safety, or quality.
Excellent IT skills, including excellent MS Excel skills.
Any of the below qualifications would be advantageous, however full training will be given during induction:
IOSH working safely.
Manual handling awareness.
Food Safety Level 3.
HACCP Level 3.
Auditor qualification.
