We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring that all products and processes meet the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and certifications such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120, and ISO 14001. You will be instrumental in defining quality standards, identifying potential issues, and driving continuous improvement across multiple sites.

As a Quality Engineer/Compliance Engineer, you will help implement compliance methodologies, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Frequent travel to TechPoint Group's intercompany sites in Ilminster, Melksham, Basingstoke, Bedford, and Thetford will be required to monitor quality performance and offer hands-on support. Additionally, you will play a key role in contributing to the development and upkeep of our Quality Management System (QMS).

About you



You will have a degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field is typically required. Or previous experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or electronics manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001). Proficiency in conducting internal/external audits against regulatory standards. Strong understanding of quality tools and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, Kaizen). Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and the ability to ensure adherence to industry standards. Experience in export control licensing Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Keen attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality standards. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and excellence. Willingness to travel as part of the role and ability to manage travel logistics effectively.

Responsibilities



Quality Assurance & Control:



Establish and define quality standards and procedures for products and processes. Proactively identify potential quality issues and defects. Develop and implement compliance methodologies to ensure product and process conformance to requirements. Conduct thorough inspections of products, systems, and processes. Monitor and track quality metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Raise & monitor export control licensing

Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis:



Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Analyse data and metrics to identify recurring issues and areas for improvement. Develop and deploy solutions to resolve quality challenges efficiently.

Documentation & Reporting:



Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality activities, investigation results, and corrective actions. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to communicate quality performance and concerns to stakeholders. Contribute to the development and upkeep of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Collaboration & Communication:



Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Production) to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Effectively communicate quality issues and concerns to stakeholders at all levels. Provide technical support and guidance on quality-related matters to ensure continuous improvement. Act as a liaison between internal departments and external auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
