Role: Quality and Compliance Officer Work Relationships: Accountable to the Business Development Manager and Company Directors; to liaise regularly with the above personnel and Service Managers (and other relevant staff members) at Residential and Supported Living Services. Responsibilities of the Role - You will work closely with the Registered Manager in auditing the services against the fundamental standards as set by the Health & Social Care Act 2014, along with supporting the care teams in achieving the requirements as set by CQC regulatory frameworks and that of the company's own policies and objectives. - Develop and implement a comprehensive audit plan to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness within the service. - Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans. - Work closely with senior management and service management implement any findings - Conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of our residential and supported living services - Address poor working practices through mentoring and support - Liaise with Local Authorities and CCG contract monitoring teams. - Analyse operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. - Identify potential risks and assess the impact on the service's operations. - Monitor the implementation of risk management measures and report on their effectiveness. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and industry standards. - Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations and care quality standards. - Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate their impact to the management team. You must have: - Experience in a quality, compliance, or governance role within the health & social care sector, as well as working within a care setting - A strong understanding of CQC regulations and how they apply to residential and supported living services - A good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the CQC fundamental standards - Excellent reasoning skills - ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed judgements - Effective leadership & communication skills with the ability to influence and engage colleagues and stakeholders. - A passion for person-centred care and a commitment to delivering the highest quality service, able to work autonomously and as part of a team - Driving licence with access to your own vehicle
