Role outline:
The Quality Control Inspector role carries a high degree of responsibility in ensuring that all of our products leave the factory to the correct customer specification and meet the Company's exact quality standards.
You shall be expected to report on any quality concerns and identifiable fault trends to quality control management as well as advise, assist and guide production staff to ensure that they understand product quality requirements.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 14:00pm - 22:00pm (37.5 hours per week).
The hourly rate of 15.08 per hour includes a shift premium of 6.50 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure that all products are to the highest standard before leaving the factory.
Ensure that all quality faults are accurately inputted into the EvoNet system.
Undertake high quality repairs to faulty products (where possible).
Report any quality concerns to quality management or their deputies.
Provide effective (and constructive) feedback to production staff on the causes of products being rejected at inspection.
Use jigs (as required).
Use a tape measure and other measuring equipment (as required).
Ensure that the Company's high standards and targets are achieved on a daily basis.
Person specification:
Previous experience of production of both windows and doors would be ideal, but not essential.
Knowledge of the issues that cause products to be rejected would be ideal, but not essential.
Be numerate and literate with basic keyboard knowledge and good proof-reading skills.
Be able to communicate clearly at all levels particularly with management on quality issues.
Have an excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrate a high degree of responsibility, with the ability to make measured decisions and uphold them.
