Quality Control Inspector

Stanley, County Durham

Full time, Day Shifts

07:30-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30-12:30 Friday

\xc2\xa313.50 - \xc2\xa315.25 per hour, DOE

We are working with a leading machining and fabrication business based in Durham who have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Control of all products and raise quality issues
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise
  • Carry out product and process auditing
  • Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented and maintained
  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO9001)
  • Promoting and upholding company performance standards and policies.
  • Maintaining proactive, dynamic, and effective communication with customers.
  • Quality management, a pro-active approach to quality using data and Root Cause Analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
  • Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
  • Independently determine approach and assigned task
  • Supporting the Quality Inspectors with inspection activities.
Skills
  • Ability to maintain a high-performance to operate efficiently
  • Possess the ability to work under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining quality
  • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
  • Team working skills
Experience
  • CNC and Fabrication experience
  • Understands technical drawings and tolerancing / GD&T symbols
  • Ideally FARO trained (training can be provided)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes ideally within fabrication and machining
  • Work independently
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001
  • Educated to HND in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant professional institute qualification
