We are seeking a Quality Control Team Lead to join the Underwriting Operations team, to support our 2
writing companies, covering: London \'Companies Market\' and European \'Companies Market\'. The purpose
of this role is to assist in delivering accurate data capture, proactive query management and promoting best
practice within the Underwriting teams. This role requires a collaborative, team-oriented approach, as well
as a service mindset and excellent stakeholder engagement. Acting as the initial point of contact, you would
help drive and coordinate.
The Operations team supports business processing, liaising with other functions to ensure efficiency &
effectiveness across a broad array of activities from policy specific transaction support to change
management and on-boarding. The main responsibilities of the Quality Control Team are:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the Quality Control technicians and/or resource assigned
  • Oversee department operations such as submission, submission flow management, policy
endorsements, renewal processing, and peer review
  • Steward the daily underwriting "housekeeping" activities
  • Act as the main point of contact and triage for any cross functional requests, which may include any
requests and queries related to data used for outwards reporting, outwards reinsurance,
compliance, or financial close
  • Close collaboration with our strategic outsourcing partner
  • Provide support to Data Management ensuring that Underwriting Guidelines are adhered to and
underwriting controls are performed.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following:
  • Experience within Underwriting Operations, including people management experience
  • A good insight into the (re)insurance industry, ideally across a variety of lines of business
  • Adept at problem solving and identifying practical solutions, while communicating clearly and in a
transparent manner throughout the process
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer skills including the core MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Due to the demands of the business, candidates must have the ability to take initiative, work well
under pressure and with others, and be committed to meeting deadlines, in a fast paced and
dynamic environment
