QC Technician - Aberdeen

Nor-sea Foods LTD is part of a fast-growing group of companies, including International Fish Canners (Scotland) Ltd based in Fraserburgh. Nor-Sea Foods LTD has a site in Fraserburgh and Aberdeen. It produces a variety of quality fish products largely under private label for a worldwide customer base. Trading principally in the Pelagic species, Mackerel, Herring, Sprats.

We have a requirement for a:

QC Technician (Aberdeen site)

This is a permanent position, working primarily between 05:00 and 15:30.

The successful candidate must be a motivated individual with a hands-on approach as well as a good understanding of the principles and practices of Quality Management and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and flexibility are also required. Computer literate. Full training will be given.

Duties will include:

Carrying out quality assurance checks on all areas of the production line.

Monitoring standards of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, traceability, allergen management and legality and report any non-conformances.

Verifying and helping enforce Good Manufacturing Practices.

Completing all forms and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Conducting internal audits as per schedule including blades, glass and personal hygiene.

Following and understanding HACCP procedures.

Collecting and preparing any samples as and when required.
