About Us

The Dutch Maid Company is a well-established food manufacturer based in Buxton, dedicated to producing high-quality products that consistently meet customer and regulatory standards. We are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee goods intake and ensure all incoming materials meet specification standards. Conduct prerequisite and process monitoring (e.g. hygiene checks, environmental controls, and equipment verification). Carry out quality assurance checks, inspections, and product testing to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Perform shelf-life monitoring and maintain accurate records of products. Support new product development (NPD) by preparing and assessing product samples. Conduct organoleptic testing (taste, texture, and appearance assessments) to maintain product consistency. Ensure all inspections, tests, and corrective actions are fully documented. Collaborate closely with production teams to identify, resolve, and prevent quality-related issues. Assist the Technical Manager with quality and technical activities, including audits, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Preferences

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel for data recording and reporting. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Forklift Truck licence - preferred but not essential. HACCP training - preferred but not essential. Previous experience in a quality control or food manufacturing environment - preferred but not essential (full training provided).
