Job Summary


As a quality controller you will be responsible for monitoring the manufacturing and production processes of our products to ensure they are made in accordance with specifications and requirements. The role holders will collaborate with various departments to assess product and service quality with the goal of maintaining or improving overall compliance with the quality requirements.

Responsibilities



Your duties will include:

Completion of records ensuring accurate traceability of product is maintained throughout the

production process.

Reviewing specifications to understand quality requirements, tolerances, and acceptable criteria

for products.

Performing visual inspections, taking measurements, and conducting tests using precision

equipment, and instruments to verify product weight, appearance, and packaging formats in

accordance with specifications.

Conducting inspections of production processes, machinery, materials, hygiene standards and

finished products to identify food safety issues, quality issues, defects, or non-conformities.

Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken, maintaining

accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability.

Collaborating with production teams, engineers and hygiene to address quality issues, resolve

discrepancies, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Monitoring adherence to food safety and quality standards, work instructions, and procedures

throughout the production process, ensuring compliance is maintained.

Monitoring and programming of critical control points (CCPs).

Championing a food safety and quality awareness culture across the company. Educating and

ensuring employees are following food safety and quality practices at all times.

Administration and filing of relevant records, logs and documentation.

Escalating any deviations or discrepancies through the correct reporting process.

Ensuring label requirements are correct, including bar codes, expiry dates, placement, print quality,

Experience



Prior experience in quality assurance or control within a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred. Knowledge of HACCP principles and implementation is highly desirable. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and make informed decisions. Familiarity with quality assurance processes, standards, and industry regulations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and consistency in performing inspections. Pay: 13.10 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
