Quality Controller

Your Mission
Reporting to the Technical Manager and working in conjunction with the production supervisors, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurate labelling of the finished products (fillings/jams/mincemeats), following the production plan and ensuring that the customers' food safety and quality expectations are met.
What you will do
Produce product labels with the correct information and required print quality.
Ensure the correct product/quantity for each customer is produced in line with the Production plan.
Monitor and safeguard the quality and food safety of the finished product, recording quality scores on the relevant documents.
Carry out hourly metal detector tests for each production line.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What we expect from you
The successful candidate should have high levels of numeracy and literacy and, will ideally have previous experience of FMCG or food manufacturing and machine operation, a certificate in basic food hygiene and HACCP would be desirable, though not essential.
Effective communication with other staff members.
Attention to detail.
Flexibility and multi-tasking
Due to our rural location and the shift pattern, you will need to have your own means of transport to the site.
What you can expect from Puratos
Pay: 12.32 per hour.
5% bonus scheme.
Working pattern: Core hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Alternating weeks working 06:00 - 14:00 1 week and 14:00 - 22:00 the following week.
22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
