This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our management team. The role is key to the ongoing development of our apprenticeship provision and our aim to become an Outstanding provider. We are looking for a forward-thinking teaching or quality specialist to lead our improvement strategies and to ensure quality and compliance across the organisation.
The role will be responsible for the provision of qualification compliance across the organisation with the post holder carrying out Centre Manager duties for our awarding bodies and internal verification of assessments. They will also lead on the continuous improvement of our teaching and learning and be responsible for our curriculum development, implementation and improvement.
Responsibilities
Quality
Write SAR & QIP, updating quarterly
Annual revision of policies and production of new policies as required.
Lesson & Learner Review observations for trainers, skills coaches and subcontractors.
Analysis of data from learner surveys and feedback and management of improvement actions
Analysis of data on achievement rates, inclusivity, learner demographics.
Portfolio audits with feedback to skills coaches.
Deep dives into curriculum areas as required.
IQA
Internal verification of Functional Skills speaking & listening qualifications and IV of ILM and CMI assessments.
Ensuring that all awarding body requirements are met and the processing of qualification claims.
Chairing standardisation and moderation meetings
Management of Centre visits from our Awarding bodies.
Production of sampling plans
Managing new quality approvals and processes for upcoming changes to End Point Assessment
Curriculum
Responsible for curriculum development, implementation and improvement
Line Management of 3 part-time curriculum leads.
Oversee the plans and processes for the design of new qualifications and revisions to existing qualifications
Write the assessment plans and briefs for new and revised quals.
Liaise with external delivery partners regarding qualification assessment and marking.
Ensure that Safeguarding, EDI and British values are embedded in curriculum materials and delivery
Participate in person in OfSTED inspections
Prepare and co-ordinate OfSTED preparation and action plans.
Ability to fairly assess teaching and assessment performance and to deliver feedback.
Ability to build relationships at different levels both inside and outside the business
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
The ability to motivate and develop team members
The ability to problem solve and resolve issues
Experience
Internal Verification experience.
Dealing with Awarding Bodies and other external agencies
Familiar with Apprenticeship delivery and DfE requirements
Teaching or training experience.
Qualifications
GCSE Maths grade C or 4/5 or equivalent
GCSE English grade C or 4/5 or equivalent
Has assessor and internal verification qualifications
Holds a recognised teaching qualification
