Job Summary




This role develops the quality controls, assessment mechanisms and practices to assure production process quality. It develops the methods for sampling, inspecting, testing and validating products

Duties and responsibilities



Contributes to the analysis of design information and production methods, to develop and integrate the quality controls needed to ensure plant, machinery, equipment and people are delivering production processes to standard Defines the overall quality framework, standards, specifications and tolerances for each allocated product line, ensuring Survitec products meet best in class safety performance. Assesses the effectiveness of production processes in delivering those standards within the organisation and within third-party production partners Sets the frequency and intensity of quality checking process and procedures; carries out inspections if materials, equipment, processes and products to evaluate the quality of engineering works and the integrity of existing installations or structures; specifies remedial works or improvements needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements Manages day-to-day relationships with a range of stakeholders including design engineers, manufacturing colleagues, QHSE, third-party production partners and contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan Identifies shortcomings in quality processes or outputs, identifies root cause and works with production engineers to adjust processes or working practices to remove or mitigate any production quality issues; uses established change management programs to address issues and deliver sustained improvements Maintains accurate and up to date records within Survitec knowledge management system; helps others get the most out of this bank of knowledge by offering support and advice Carries out a range of product development and engineering activities; uses established systems to analyse customer needs and define and deliver customer-centric production guidelines / instructions Creates an environment where everyone in the team can live the Survitec Values Creates an inclusive environment where our people feel valued, appreciated and free to be who they are at work Understands, upholds and contributes to creating a safety-first culture within Survitec. Experience and qualification




Educated to University degree level


Over 3 years of job-related experience enables job holder to deal with most situations and to advise others


6 months of experience supervising or advising others might prove useful in this role
