LOCATION(S): Chester

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our Chester Office

About this opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join us as a Quality Engineer in our Consumer Finance Platform - Cards Lab, where you will play a key role in supporting Quality Engineering of a web-based Internet Banking system deployed across web, mobile and tablet.

The Cards Lab Engineering Team create software within a web-based Internet Banking system deployed across web, mobile and tablet providing functionality to allow customers to apply for credit cards, carry out balance and money transfers, add additional card holders and increase their credit limits.

We\'re looking for a positive teammate who loves to find innovative solutions to problems, is experienced in Quality Engineering and in the full end to end software development lifecycle and is eager to learn and has a passion to ensure quality software is delivered for customers and colleagues. The role also includes mentoring and coaching of junior colleagues.

You can expect to be doing

Participate in the full quality engineering lifecycle to test digital systems.

Ensure that testing is conducted in a way which is consistent with - and exploits the collective frameworks, patterns and standard methodologies that exist across the LBG test community.

Hands on experience across test automation

Work in a feature team delivering exciting customer driven solutions.

Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems.

Collaborate with the Product team to implement credit card banking products.

Prevent defect leakage and help to capture lessons learnt to prevent similar issues in the future.

Mentor and coach other colleagues and support leadership activities. We understand no one can be an expert in every aspect of Quality Engineering. However, if you have some technical test automation knowledge / experience with an engineering background, we\'d like to hear from you.

Specifically, we\'re looking for people who have

Strong experience of the entire software development lifecycle and experience in testing of software.

Good hands-on experience in quality engineering.

Experience in test automation, user acceptance testing, test data management and an understanding of digital applications and environments.

A passion for quality and driving efficiency with an automation-first mind-set.

A person who works collaboratively across teams and communities, building a strong team.

Agile experience and excellent critical thinking skills
