Job Description


Your mission at LINDAL

  • Maintain relevant Quality accreditation (currently ISO 9001)
  • Ensure plant adherence to and improvement of Quality system requirements and procedures
  • Liaise with supplier and customers on the day-to-day quality issues and provide timely claim responses
  • Assist in the completion of corrective action & risk assessment reports in conjunction with the senior management and other relevant personnel in a timely manner
  • Deal with customer related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies to facilitate the investigation and response
  • Support production, recommend opportunities and support the drive for continuous quality improvement
  • Measure and analyse processes, parts, trends, and performance to reduce potential issues and complete root cause analysis
  • Monitor the day to day production output ensuring compliance to product specification, including measurements and function testing as required
  • Support with the day to day measurement of components primarily using a non-contact Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
  • Maintain documentation to support ISO9001 or chosen standard
  • Deal with quarantine product in a timely manner
  • Provide data for monthly reports
  • Produce quality documents as needed, to include reports in response to customer complaints
  • Conduct internal audits against management system standards
  • Assist with external audits (certification bodies and customer)
  • Lead and participate in problem solving teams
  • Assist in the technical training of the personnel where appropriate
  • Promoting a teamwork culture within the facility
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is filled out as per company procedures
  • Maintain and promote high standards in health and safety and housekeeping
Your profile
  • Engineering Degree /Diploma or Equivalent: Polymers or related discipline
  • Good working knowledge of Quality System Requirements within a high-volume manufacturing environment (preferably in a quality related role)
  • Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or other statistical process improvement techniques
  • Possess a good understanding and application of, quality PSW/PPAP/APQP, lean principles and problem-solving techniques
  • Computer literate e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experienced in writing SOPs, and being involved in the creation of control plans, FMEA and PFMEA
  • Experienced in maintaining relevant standards such as ISO, BRC, TS16949 etc
  • BRCGS Issue 6 Packaging Materials Standard knowledge and understanding of standard practises and requirements
  • Demonstrate a track record of supporting improvement projects by providing creative approach to problem solving
  • Knowledge of the injection moulding process
