QUALITY ENGINEER Circa \xc2\xa332000pa + paid overtime + bonus, working 7:30am-4pm Mon-Thurs and a 12.30 finish Friday.25+8 days holidays.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a person to join a global manufacturer business based in Southam in an Quality Engineer position.

Quality Engineer Role Definition

Working within the Quality team, this role provides a service both within and outside the company on matters pertaining to achievement of customer/consumer satisfaction. The role reports into the Quality Manager

Quality Engineer responsibilities and duties

  • Check-in and visually inspection (to the \'Calibro Standard) prior to conversion and complete associated required documentation. Note: Primary job role - extensive training will be given.
  • Create, maintain and update Work Instructions and Register
  • Carry out calibration of measurement and test equipment in-house and organise calibration of externally calibrated measurement and test equipment and maintain certificates/register
  • Log issues (on CS module, Supplier module or Concern Report) and conduct investigations into quality and/or warranty related issues (internal, supplier and customer), identify root cause(s) and suggest/implement continuous improvements, document actions and monitor effectiveness of actions
  • Set up and maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers/dealers to ensure continuity of supply and quality
  • Verify the quality status of materials and/or product whether made in-house or bought-out origin, including new suppliers (NPI)
  • Support Quality Manager by recording, maintaining, analysing and publishing quality performance related data (i.e. KPI\'s) with or without interpretation
  • Collation of monthly \'scrap report\'
  • Raise concessions
  • Carry out first-offs
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Support Quality Manager in preparation of and during third party audits
  • Support on-site investigation/rectification visits at Supplier, customer or end user
  • Mentor Operational Facilitators
  • Conduct weekly high bay audits
  • Conduct weekly update of L3 screens and boards
  • Conduct daily production audits and provide data as to performance to relevant supervisors
  • Hold weekly quality meetings with area supervisors
  • Add new suppliers to SAP (QM Lot and clear QM Lot)
  • Support Quality Manager in handling \'rework campaigns\'
Quality Engineer - Qualifications Training:
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), i.e. ability to read and interpret detailed and complex technical drawings - mandatory
  • Lean Quality Tools (FMEA, Pareto Charts, Fishbone Diagrams, Six Sigma,5S, 8D Methodology) - preferred
  • Experience within a quality role in a manufacturing environment - preferred
  • Excellent IT skills including SAP, MicrosoftWord, Excel & Teams and PowerPoint - preferred
  • Dimensional metrology
  • Lean Manufacturing Operations
  • Auditing (lead or internal)
  • PPAP/NPI
