Miles Platts is a customer focused, world leading manufacturer of precision, technical injection mouldings, bobbins and coil-formers for the electrical and automotive industries, supplying 'electro-technical' components to production facilities all around the world. We have an immediate requirement for the position of 'Quality Inspector' at our manufacturing facilities in Blaby.


Reporting to the Quality Engineer.

Key Function

Ensure parts are to desired standard and quality processes are followed.

Profile/Skills

Must be self-motivated, adaptable and organised and be able to use your own initiative. A positive can do attitude is encouraged and embraced. Excellent communication skills both verbally and written are a must, to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal and external customers. Excellent Computer literacy is required to facilitate this. Possess a working knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS systems and their implementation and sustainment. Strong background in a quality function with a good understanding of quality systems and procedures. Experience of mechanical inspection methods, systems and processes. (including hands on testing). Knowledge of continuous improvement, 5S and lean is an advantage.

Main Duties

Complete NPI and first off approvals including (PPAP's and ISIR's) Ensure products meet MP customers quality requirements Involvement in customer and internal quality issues and their resolution In conjunction with Factory Manager, carry out special assignments to improve the quality, efficiency or effectiveness of the company Maintain high levels of housekeeping
