Main Purpose of Job:

Relationships:

A) Responsible to: Chief Inspector

B) Responsible for: Inspection of components to ensure required standards are maintained.

C) Liaison with: Chief Inspector, Shift Foreman, Production and Operators.

MAIN TASKS OF JOB:

Responsible for the inspection support to manufacturing and goods inward, as required. Inspection of manufactured components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Inspection within all areas of the Department. To analyse defects and assist in the implementing root cause analysis with a view to resolve the defect at source. Inspection using all the necessary equipment within the department. Understand the Quality Procedures and the need to comply with all aspects of the procedures.
Investigate deviations from the procedures and take remedial action making recommendations for system improvements to ensure there are no re-occurrences.

Maintain acceptable standards of behaviour, attendance, time-keeping etc. Comply with all the company regulations as set out in the Employee Handbook, Quality Manual, Work Instructions.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all records/reports.

Comply with all aspects of Health and Safety within the department. Ensure company safety policy/manual is adhered to. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department. Maintain acceptable standards of behaviour, attendance, time-keeping etc. Comply with all the company regulations as set out in the Employee Handbook, Quality Manual, Work Instructions.
