Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.


The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.

What you'll be doing


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced site-based Quality Inspector to join our team at Sizewell C, a new major nuclear power station project. The current phase of work involves extensive earthworks and enabling works, so experience in these areas is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in all civil engineering works on-site, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
Who we're looking for


Essential

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction quality inspection, preferably in large-scale
infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Confident in working with all levels of management and workforce. Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively. Pro-active, innovative, self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function. Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to the site as required.

Desirable

Experience in nuclear power plant construction or similar high-complexity projects. Certification in quality control or construction inspection
