What we are looking for:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vice President of Quality to lead our quality assurance efforts in the automotive aftermarket sector. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ISO 9001:2015, with a preference for experience in IATF 16949:2016, and will be responsible for managing quality systems, supplier relationships, product approvals, and warranty processes across multiple regions.
The role:

Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.
Conduct and oversee internal and external audits.
Lead Management Review meetings and ensure follow-up on action items.
Define and monitor quality objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and update quality policies and procedures.
Supplier Quality Management
Perform supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Follow up on supplier certifications and ensure timely renewals.
Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain performance records.
Manage supplier non-conformities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Product and Process Control
Oversee part approval processes, including PBS PPAP documentation.
Supervise container inspections to ensure product conformity.
Ensure proper calibration of measurement and testing equipment.
Conduct risk assessments related to product and process quality
Handle customer reviews and feedback related to product quality.
Manage warranty claims across multiple regions: Spain Warranty, Export Warranty, PBS Warranty, Greece and Ireland Warranty
About you and Experience Required:
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality management role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Essential:
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; experience with IATF 16949:2016 is highly preferred.
Familiarity with automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
Experience with supplier quality management and warranty handling.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Certification as a Lead Auditor (ISO/IATF) is a plus.
Desirable but not essential
Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Ability to work effectively in a multinational environment and manage cross-border quality processes.
Other
Travel will be an essential part of this role to various countries in Europe, India and China. At times this will be last minute travel so the ability to work flexibly is essential.
