Aptar is seeking a Quality Manager

based in Leeds, United Kingdom (office based)



As our Quality Manager, your primary purpose will be to drive site-wide improvements by developing cost-effective solutions and enhancing our management systems--while staying true to Aptar's core values. You'll play a pivotal role as a solutions-oriented leader, empowering your team, implementing long-term process improvements, and ensuring we meet the highest standards in product quality and food safety. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration with influence across all levels of the organization.


As a Quality Manager, You Will:




Lead the Quality Department and champion improvements in quality performance, compliance, and audit readiness. Own the site's ISO9001:2015 and BRC Packaging quality systems, including food safety requirements. Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource planning to support business objectives. Represent Aptar externally, working with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues swiftly and sustainably. Foster a team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement, development, and accountability.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to quality excellence. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator and team-builder, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization and creating collaborative success.


Education




Required

: Degree in Engineering or a food-related technical discipline (e.g., Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry).

Preferred

: Six Sigma or Lean certification.



Required Skills

Considerable experience as Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment and have the ability to work in a high-pressure site. Expertise in ISO9001 and BRC standards, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Statistical Processes Control (SPC) knowledge and application Previous customer-facing experience in quality or technical roles. Ability to lead audits and interface with regulatory and certification bodies.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be required, including short-notice visits to customer or supplier sites.
