Job Description

ACB is a specialist waste management company based in Aylesford, near Maidstone in Kent.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to run a mature integrated management system, combining:

ISO9001:2015 ISO14001:2015 ISO27001:2022 Alignment to ISO45001 standard

Experience

A good knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality Systems with at least 5 years experience Direct involvement in Health and Safety control and documentation, preferably in an ISO45001 compliant system Management of Health and Safety systems and auditing (NEBOSH would be an advantage). A working knowledge of ISO 27001 would be an advantage Trained and experienced as an Internal Auditor Able to demonstrate continuous improvement

Advantageous

Waste management, including an understanding of radioactive and hazardous wastes. WAMITAB Familiarity with BAT, Risk Assessments and Gap Analysis.

Role

Check and maintain procedures through diligent auditing of our processes and be pro-active in maintaining safe and effective systems, and improving them where opportunities arise. Become fully conversant with the requirements placed upon us by our Environmental Permits, Standards and the Governing Bodies for our industry. Respond to requests for information from customers and other external organisations. Maintenance and control of our health and safety system, including internal monitoring for safety records. Recording, investigating and responding to non-conformance, and other issues requiring attention on site. Maintenance of key services, such as the fire and alarm systems, and all statutory inspections and servicing on site. Recording and arranging basic buildings maintenance requirements. Arranging, recording and controlling instrument calibration to ensure all instruments are maintained and calibrated at the correct intervals. Devise and review control processes for internal processing of materials. Understand industry, governing bodies and external auditor's needs and requirements to ensure control processes remain compliant and meet stakeholder expectations. Hosting external audits by our ISO Auditors, and external Governing Bodies. Compile data into existing trackers and databases, with the ability to analyse and report on trends. You will be required to face auditors and key customers either directly or by Teams video link in a confident and professional manner, when required. Ability to pick up new skills and carry out additional duties that fit with your overall role and position in the company.
